INDIAN RAILWAYS

Indian Railways is very big group, but when we talk about the basic facility even cleanness and reservation is not achieved by the railways yet. It is said that we have luxury train like "palace on wheel" and "Deccan odisi". But they are far away from the ordinary people. They have to travel in general passenger and mail trains. Everyone knows about the railway station. Till today, many stations are not facilitated with water and other necessity.

According to previous Railway Budget, about 250 stations are said to be ideal but everyone knows about the reality. Those station are made ideal according to the ministers, they have really change the definition of “ideal”. It is said by the railway minister that 200 stations will made ideal on which the investment will be 1000 crore and 50 will world class on which 90 thousand crore will be spent. Before this Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav had also said same about 26 main station but no change yet.

According to general people ministers should concentrate on that project which they can complete in less time and also in less investment. For example they can easily manage for different platform for coming and going trains. In this way, the crowd decreases on the platform and the chances of accident will also decrease. In last many years, the green toilets are very much highlighted but till now it is not available in trains. At first it should be implement. In same manner ,for the improvement of reservation process , there is a need of some new technology from which people can reserve their tickets with the help of the SMS. The facility of mobile charging plug should be in every compartment in the trains.

There are many other improvement which can be implement in short duration and from which the railway can be better.
